Tyler and I drove up to Spokane yesterday to hear Dennis Kucinich speak at Gonzaga. I really enjoyed it. His speech was overwhelminly positive (I think me mentioned Bush's name once, although the policies were talked about quite a lot), and...I don't know, it just made me feel like so many positive things that I'd like to see in this country (better education, health care) weren't unattainable.

I would really love to see him in the Presidency. I don't think it will happen, and I hate it that I may wind up voting for someone I don't like solely because he has a better chance of beating Bush. Kerry really does not impress me, and it seems to share a lot of Bush's views on a paler level. What's the point?

Because candidates try to be everything to everybody, I feel like we just tiptoe around little incremental modifications that don't really make a difference. I think Kucinich really would make some positive reforms. Unfortunately, I don't know if the majority wants them.

I have a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach.
