Thoughts:

*Someone on a recent voyage highly recommended bringing DVD's to play on your computer, if you have one. I have lots of DVD's and a good laptop with a good picture and good sound. But...do I want DVD's? It would be nice to veg out now and again, but I could be doing so many other things, like write in my journal or read on the deck, or meet people. Plus, how many times can I watch Much Ado About Nothing?
*I'd love to bring my wedding ring quilt to work on. However, if I have it, I'll feel obligated to work on it when I have a spare minute, when I could be doing other things. Plus, that's a big bulky item. Maybe I should bring enough stuff to piece a finite number of rings, but no more.
*For God's sake, I have no clue about adaptors. The ship has both 110 and 220 outlets. Does anyone know if a laptop can be operated on both? I think I heard something about that, but I don't see anything on my machine about switching the current. >flails<
*Any ideas for little things I could bring to give people? I also need something for my Japanese family. I was thinking about some smoked salmon.
*Will I really need my discman? I can already play music in my laptop, I have a small pair of speakers for the laptop (externals), and I have my headphones if I need to be quiet about it. A discman is lighter, but it's one more thing that may be extraneous. Plus, it's not the end of the world if I can't listen to my music every second.
