At some point during the Clinton Administration, a measure was passed to gradually phase out the number of snowmobiles annually permitted into Yellowstone National Park, until they were gradually forbidden altogether in the interest of protecting wildlife, ecosystems, and other recreationalists from their disturbance.

Bush tried to undo that, repealing the measure (I hope I'm getting the details right) and raising the number of snowmobiles this season from 400-something to 900-something.

Somebody appealed Bush's action, and the case just went to a federal judge that basically told him "no." The old law stands, the number will be decreased to 400-something snowmobiles in the park, and then zero after that.

I love it when the system works. :)
