I have had scary or upsetting dreams every night for the last week and a half. So I'm posting them up here until they stop.

Last night I dreamed about executions.*

*I dreamed that I was a prisoner in a special Civil War tribunal for war criminals under the age of eighteen (legally children now, although I think the legal age to be a soldier at that time was sixteen). The jury weighed the seriousness of our crimes/war histories against our ages, to determine how responsible we were for our actions. We were informed of our guilt or innocence by drinking a glass of water. Everybody got a glass with a different amount of water, mixed with varying concentrations of arsenic. If you were guilty, you found out when the toxin kicked in. If you were innocent, you lived.
