I'm happy to be getting married, but the thought of everything I have left to do is somewhat crushing.
I'm also a little grumpy about the people who were provided with self-addressed, stamped envelopes and still did not RSVP (although most of the RSVP's had nice notes in them, which was really fun to read).
Anyway, I'm soliciting advice for the following two things:
1. Music: The original plan was to have Tyler's mom play guitar for the processional. Now it turns out that this won't work, because I just want instrumental music, but she likes to sing. And she's a good singer, and I'd love to have her play later in the day, but that's not what I'm comfortable walking to. So, I'm stuck. The easy option is to hit play on a portable stereo, and that feels incredibly tacky. So, what? The only thing I could think of was to hire a harpist or flutist, and I'm really worried about money.
2. Decor: Ideas? Balloons are easy, but I don't want that to be the only thing. I planned on getting some pretty flowering plants, potting them with nice ribbons, and placing those on the tables and the lodge steps. But what else? I have a faux-bamboo arch to get married under that needs decoration (cedar branches?), and I'd kinda like to put something up in the tent too (like, the tent edges or poles). Difficulty: I hate fake flowers, and I'm not into yards and yards of white tulle over everything.
So, input welcome.
